Balances for People

Balances for people are used to measure and determine people’s body weight. The measurement range of the balances for people is from 0 kg up to 150 kg, and sometimes up to 200 kg. Balances for obese people have measurement ranges up to 300 kg. These balances for people should be in every house. The regular use of balances for people allows to check the weight in case of obesity or extreme thinness. Some years ago balances for people were spring balances. These balances determined and showed the body weight by means of a spring mechanism so they were quite imprecise.  The verification of balances for people (only for those that can be verified) can be done when balances are ordered or as a reverification. Once an official verification has been done, the balances for people cannot be recalibrated using an external calibration weight. The first verification is valid for two years, but every other verification is valid for one year and must be done annually.
