Calibration / Recalibration

For the volumetric flow meters you can acquire an ISO calibration certificate. With certification and laboratory calibration of the gauges an inspection report with address data of your company  will be issued, so that you can take up e.g. the devices to your in-house ISO inspection device pool and it is confirmed that the volumetric flow meter meets the national standards. Here is further information concerning the calibration:

Calibrate: Examine the correctness of measured variables of the flow measuring instruments without interference in the measuring system. Another variant is to determine the systematic deviation of the announcement of the measuring instruments from the true value of the measure.

Calibration light or calibration certificate: It documents the instrumentation characteristics, the measuring of devices as well as returnability on the national standards.

Calibration interval: In order to be able to accomplish durably correct measurements, the used measuring instruments must be supervised and/or calibrated in regular intervals. This period is called the calibration interval. There is no general statement, when measuring instruments should be recalibrated. Important points while defining the interval are:

 - Measured variable and permissible tolerance volume

 - Load on the measuring instruments and control device

 - Schedule density

 - Site condition

 - Stability of the past calibrations

 - Required measuring accuracy

 - Definitions of the quality assurance system in the companies

That means that the time period between two calibrations must be defined by the user. Our recommendation for the calibration interval would be from 1 to 3 years. If you have any questions or need help while defining the intervale, you can get a consultation from our technicians or contact UK customers +44(0) 23 809 870 30 / US customers +1-410-387-7703
