PCE-353 sound level indicator with Leq functiondevice with internal memeory, cable and software, meets all machinery directions
The PCE-353 sound level indicator has the Leq function. This sound level indicator offers the possibility to measure integrated sound level (Leq). The sound level indicator is indispensable for professionals to take measurements in the workplace. With this device you do not have to do complex calculations of the Leq / Leaq value. With an internal memory of 32,000 readings, this sound level indicator is ideal for measurements over long periods of time. The data can be exported to a PC with the help of the RS-232 data cable for futher analysis. The software, in English, can present the readings in tables or graphs (extract of the interface protocol). The sound level indicator meets the standards to measure noise. It includes the CE certification as it meets with the standard for machines ( 89/ 393/ EWG). Here you will find other sound level indicators that do not have the Leq function.

The sound level indicator can be used to take single or several measurements over a period of time. Readings can be transferred to a PC via the RS-232 connector or, using the anologue output, to be evaluated and analysed in various ways. The software also can export the data to to other programs in order to be presented. The zoom function provides a more precise analysis for each value. The software also can be programmed by the user.

The PCE-353 sound level indicator is very useful in locating and recording a general or specific sound level. In this way, you will avoid putting workers at risk on the job due to too loud noise.

With the help of the optional tripod, the PCE-353 sound level indicator can take readings easily over a period of time. The readings can be exported to a PC or laptop for analysis via the RS-232 connector.

Internal calculation of the energy equivalent of a continuous sound level (Leq)
- LAeq integrated sound level in a time of reference (T) - approximate value
- T time of reference: from 6:00 to 22:00 (during the day)
(daily measurement with a time reference of 6 months of the year with more traffic)
-
Sum of all sound events (N) in a time of reference (T)
- i latest indication of a peculiar sound event
- t10,i Duration of the sound event (i-ten) according to AzB /11/ (period of time in that the level of sound (LAS (t)) does not exceed 10dB below the maximum level or sound pressure (LASmax) of a sound event ("10dB - down-time")
- LASmax,i maximum value of the level of sound pressure of the sound event (i-ten)

Optional accessories - Acoustic calibrator Acoustic calibrator for regular recalibration. The noise meter will be delivered calibrated but the sensor suffers from oscillation over time. The acoustic calibrator can be recalibrated independently to provide perfect measurements.
- ISO calibration certificate For companies that wish to include the device in their group of internal tools or for annual recalibrations (if the calibrator is not used). The ISO calibration includes a laboratory calibration document with all the measurement values.
- Microphone extension cable 5 meter long cable. If the noise meter is used with this component, it will be able to measure the source of sound in machines directly or to check products. It is also possible to take measurements in areas that are difficult to access.
- Tripod Light-weight aluminium tripod. It is useful to make a series of measurements and it guarantees that readings are reproduced more accurately by keeping the microphone fixed in place. Furthermore, the user is free to record readings manually or to perform other tasks.
- Power adaptor The supply of regular power will prevent erroneous measurements caused by failing batteries. If you take measurements over a long period of time with the connected data logger, we recommend to use a power adaptor.
