Dust particle size analyser KM 3887 analyser of the size of dust particles in the measurement of the amount of particles in the atmosphere / to count particles with a thickness of 0.3, 0.5 y 5 µm / RS-232 and software

The dust particle size analyser KM 3887 measures the concentration of diverse particles in air such as dust, soot, pollen and other aerosol types. It has been designed to detect the exact pollution level in the air. Pollution is usually generated by combustion, material process, manufacturing, energy generation, vehicle emissions and in the building industry. With the help of the dust particle size analyser KM 3887 you can measure accurately the amount of particulate pollutant in air. You will find high pollution levels in the atmosphere of cities and in the industrial sector which can be measured with this dust particle size analyser KM 3887. The level of pollution in the air containing unhealthy particles is becoming more important every day, for instance soot, which is mainly emitted by industries and vehicles with diesel engines without any special filter. These particle dispersion is responsible for a restricted visibility, the breathing in of poisonous particles and the result of a reduced work performance. These particles can be measured and controlled with the dust particle size analyser KM 3887. Long ago it is well known that these particles may be one of the causative agents of diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, skin and respiratory diseases (Explanation of some definitions in the measurement of particles). The dust particle size analyser KM 3887 has been developed for quick and easy use. It is recommended to be familiar with the dust particle size analyser KM 3887 as well as with the different weather conditions. Higher fluctuations will depend of the weather conditions. Here you will find another dust particle analyser to measure simultaneously five particles thickness, air velocity, with memory and RS-232. At the following link you will find an overview of dust particle analysers available at PCE-Instrument (particle analysers).

Taken into consideration the concentration of particles are over extended periods of time rather than differences in consecutive measurements, the dust particle size analyser KM 3887 has different operational modes (single measurement, ISO <C4, continuous measurement, remote measurement, etc). The measured result is displayed until the meter is turned off. The dust particle size analyser KM 3887 is suitable for the quick detection of the pollution degree in air as well as being an affordable alternative to other expensive methods and measuring instruments. Here you will find an overview of all particle analysers (particle counters).

| The dust particle size analyser KM 3887 and pollution |
Pollution is the appearance of a substance which may cause any harm of damage to living beings or to the environment. However, to talk about pollution the pollutant substance should be sufficient to cause such environmental damages. This amount can be expressed as the mass of the introduced substance in relation to the mass or volume of the receiving environment and can be measured with the dust particle size analyser KM 3887. The particles size is not very important for the measurement of pollution, however the number of the particles in the environment is very relevant which can be also measured with the dust particle size analyser KM 3887. Gas elements in pollution are made by the combustion of fuel and the burning of fuels such as gasoline, garbage and plants and animals waste. With the dust particle size analyser you will be able to determine the number of pollutant particles in air as well as the level of damage with can produce this air, so the greater the number or dust particles and other pollutant substances, the higher the pollution. Such pollutant particles can cause respiratory diseases and digestive problems. Therefore, the dust particle size analyser KM 3887 is very important to test air quality.
If you need another device to detect diverse gas types to check pollution, you can see it here. multi-gas detector. |

Calibration: Control of the measuring magnitudes correction in relation to measuring instruments without the interference of the measuring system. Also, a determination of the systematic deviation in relation to the real value of the measuring magnitude.
Calibration Certificate: It certifies technical properties of the measuring instruments as well as the possibility of recovering the national standard.
Calibration interval: For exact and permanent measurements, the diverse measuring instruments have to be periodically tested or calibrated. This period of time is called calibration interval. It is almost impossible to determine the calibration period of any measuring instrument. To know the calibration interval it is necessary to consider the following:
-
Measuring magnitude and margin of permitted tolerance
-
Efficiency of the measuring instruments
-
Frequency
-
Environmental conditions
-
Stability of the previous calibrations
-
Required accuracy
-
Determination of the company quality assurance.
This means that the customer has to be responsible of establishing and controlling calibration interval. We recommend to establish the calibration interval between 1 and 3 years. We offer to the customer our help to solve problems and technical questions.
