For the volumetric flow meters you can acquire an ISO calibration certificate. With certification and laboratory calibration of the gauges, an inspection report with address of your company is issued, so that you can take the devices to your in-house ISO inspection device pool and it certifies that the volumetric flow meters refers to the national "normal one". Here is further information concerning the calibration: Calibrate: Examine the correctness of measured variables of the flowmeters without interference in the measuring system, or: Determine the systematic deviation of the announcement of the measuring instruments from the true value of the measured variable. Calibration light or calibration certificate: Document the instrumentation characteristics of the measuring of devices as well as returnability on the national normal. Calibration interval: In order to be able to accomplish durably correct measurements, the used measuring instruments in regular intervals must be supervised and/or calibrated. This period corresponds to the calibration interval. There is no general statement when measuring instruments should be recalibrated. Important points while defining the interval are:
- Measured variable and permissible tolerance volume
- Demand of the measuring instruments and inspection device
- Schedule density
- Site condition
- Stability of the past calibrations
- Necessary measuring accuracy
- Definitions of the quality assurance system in companies
This means that the interval between two calibrations must be finally defined by the user. Our recommendation for the calibration interval is from 1 to 3 years. In order not to leave the customers alone during defining of the intervals, we can offer a consultation with our coworkers.
