PCE-IR 100 (HACCP) food thermometer
Thermometer for food determines temperature both with and without contact, meets HACCP standard

The PCE-IR-100 food thermometer offers workers in food processing, food inspectors and customer service easy and effective way to check if food temperature is in compliance with HACCP standards. The thermometer quickly tests the surface temperature of food with the infrared sensor without risk of contamination and it also offers the possibility of testing the internal temperature of food using the sensor probe.
The thermometer uses LEDs to indicate temperatures below 4ºC, temperatures between 4ºC and 60ºC and temperatures above 60ºC. This allows an effective check of HACCP.

Measurement functions

This thermometer combines the measurement of surface temperature (Scan) and the measurement inside the food. This allows quick orientation of temperature conditions and reduction of the infrared measurements due to the integrated sensor probe (test).

HACCP standards were established to always ensure a constant product quality observing hygienic levels and thus avoiding risk of contamination.
Food producers cannot put into circulation food which doesn't meet these strict standards.
It's important to test food temperature and the relation of temperature to time, which serves to ensure that there there is no risk of contamination of exposed food. This is particularly important in the food transportation as they can travel significant distances to reach their final destination.
The reduction of preservatives in food means that alternative methods of preservation, such as cooling or heating, are frequently used.

PCE-IR 100 (HACCP) food thermometer: meets HACCP standards.

There are signals in the upper portion of the display to assist the user:
                         green =  safe
                         red  =  warning
The warning range comprises temperatures of perishable foods which should be exposed briefly (4 to 60 ºC). The average temperature will appear on the display.

Indication of surface point of measurement

For infrared temperature measurement with the PCE-IR 100 thermometer, the measured surface area is illuminated to ensure that the correct point is being targeted, thus avoiding errors.

Usage

The PCE-IR-100 food thermometer can be used in all industrial food sectors, including production, manufacture, transportation and storage. Catering and restaurants could also use this thermometer for food preparation and storage.
