PCE-IR 100
(HACCP) food thermometer
Food thermometer to determine temperature both with
and without contact or for the detection with contact of internal temperature
( with folding sensor probe), it meets with the HACCP standard
|
|
The PCE-IR 100 food thermometer
combines velocity, easy handling and accuracy at measuring non-contact
surface temperature with a driving-in device able to determine core
temperature. The PCE-IR 100 food thermometer allows the user to quickly test
the surface temperature of food without risk of contamination with the
infrared sensor while also offering the possibility of testing the internal
temperature of food using the sensor probe. The PCE-IR 100 food thermometer
allows the user to quickly test the surface temperature of food without risk
of contamination with the infrared sensor while also offering the possibility
of testing the internal temperature of food using the sensor probe. The
PCE-IR-100 food thermometer offers workers in food processing, food inspectors
and customer service an easy and effective way to check if the food
temperature is in compliance with HACCP standards.
The thermometer uses LEDs to indicate temperatures below
4ºC, temperatures between
4ºC
and
60ºC
and temperatures above
60ºC. This allows for an
effective check of HACCP. The PCE-IR 100 food thermometer is the ideal
device to be combined with other thermometers. At the following link you can find the thermometer that best
suits your needs.

The display of the PCE-IR 100 food thermometer shows both the current
function and the setting. It can be washed thanks to its water-resistant
case..

Characteristics
|
|
- thermometer combining contact and non-contact
measurement of temperature
- wide range of measurement
- developed for the use in the food industry according to HACCP standards
- emissivity fixed at 0.97 (ideal for food)
- quick response time
- minimum and maximum Hold function
- continuous measurements over a period of time
- It can be ISO calibrated. Thermometers come factory calibrated but an
optional ISO calibration and certificate can be ordered.
- Ingress protection IP 65, which allows the thermometer to be hygenically
cleaned

Measurement
functions
|
|

The PCE-IR 100 food thermometer
combines the measurement of surface temperature (Scan)
and the measurement inside food in only one device. This allows for the quick
orientation of temperature conditions and also to reduce infrared
measurements thanks to the integrated sensor probe (test).

HACCP standards were established to
always ensure a constant in product quality observing hygienic levels and
thus avoiding risk of contamination.
Food producers cannot put into circulation foods that don't meet these strict
standards.
It's important to test food temperature and the relation of temperature to
time, which serves to ensure that there there is no risk of contamination of
exposed foods. This is particularly import in the transport of foods as
they can travel significant distances to reach their final destination.
The reduction of preservatives in food means that alternative methods of
preservation are frequently used, such as cooling or heating food.
|

|
|
There are signals in the upper
portion of the display to assist the user:
green = safe
red = warning
The warning range comprises of temperatures of perishable foods which should
be exposed briefly (4 to
60ºC
). The average
temperature will appear on the display.

Indication of the measuring
point
|
|
To take a temperature reading with the PCE-IR
100 thermometer using infrared accurately, the surface area being measured is
illuminated to ensure that the correct point is being targeted, thus avoiding
errors.
|
|
Applications
of use
|
|

The PCE-IR-100 food thermometer can be used in all industrial food sectors,
including production, manufacturing, shipment and storage. Also, catering and
restaurants could make use of this thermometer for food preparation and
storage.

accessories
- ISO calibration certificate
The ISO calibration certificate certifies this thermometer for use in the
food industry to meet national standards. The PCE-IR-100 includes two methods
of measurement, probe and infrared, and the thermometer would require both to
be certified for use.
