The ignition cable tester ADD 760 is a battery-driven handheld device for quick check-up on ignition spark and the inner life of the cylinders. Therefore the ignition cable tester is simply to slide over the relevant ignition cable. The receiver of the ignition cable tester then simply measures the applied sparking voltage during ignition. The ignition cable tester operates in two different modes. During the quick checking mode a LED light of the ignition cable tester indicates whether an ignition voltage is applied. If the ignition cable tester is switched to measuring mode, the integrated display indicates the peak voltage. Furthermore the ignition cable tester indicates the polarity via two integrated LED's. To check on that, the voltage results of all cylinders need to be compared. In case a cylinder value deviates or  lies over 20 kV, there will be no ignition performable. Via the probe extension included in delivery, you will be able to reach easily any ignition cable.
