Particle counter series KM 3887
Particle counter for measuring the particle content in the atmosphere /
particle counter with a 0.3, 0.5 and 5 microns; thickness of / RS-232 and software

The particle counter KM 3887 measures the concentration of particles such as dust, soot, pollen and other aerosols in the air. The particle counter KM 3887 has been developed to accurately detect the degree of air pollution. The pollution is mainly generated by combustion, materials processing, manufacturing, power generation, vehicle emissions and the construction industry. With the help of the Particle counter KM 3887 you will be able to measure the precise amount of particulate pollutants in the air. You will find high levels of air pollution especially in cities and the industry sector. It is increasingly important to know the level of air pollution with particles which are harmful to health, eg soot which is emitted mostly by industry and diesel engine vehicles without a special filter. These particles are among other things responsible for reducing the visibility, the aspiration of poisonous substances and therefore reduce work effectiveness. Also it has been known for a long time that particles can be one of the agents causing diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, skin diseases and respiratory diseases.

The light meter has been developed for easy and fast use. It is advised to familiarise with the instrument and the different atmospheric conditions. It is normal that the counts show larger fluctuations. That depends e.g. of daily changes in atmospheric conditions.

Consider the tendencies in the particle concentration for extended periods, rather than differences in consecutive measurements. The Particle counter works in different modes (individual measurement, ISO <C4, in continuous mode, remote, etc..) and it displays results on the screen until the uni switches off. The Particle counter is very suitable for rapid detection of the degree of air pollution and it is an economical alternative to other methods of measurement and more expensive equipment. You will find an overview of all particles meters here.

The Particle counter:

  • Displays 3 particle sizes simultaneously on screen

  • Has a memory for 8000 values

  • Is powered by a rechargeable battery.

  • Is valid for measurements according to ISO 14644-1.

- ISO Calibration Certificate

For companies that wish to integrate the Particle counter in its internal quality control or for annual recalibration. Certification to ISO contains a calibration laboratory that includes the certificate with all data

Particle counter: ISO Calibration Certificate.

- Carrying case

The case serves to protect the meter of particles during transport and while it is stored for a long time without being used.

- Tripod

For prolonged measurements, we always recommend to mount the meter on a tripod. The tripod can be regulated in height, which allows for an ideal location for measurement.
