PCE-TG100
thickness gauge
for materials
such as metals, glass and homogeneous plastics
(with sound velocity adjustment)
|
|
The PCE-TG100
thickness gauge can determine the thickness of
metals, glass and homogeneous plastics in seconds. This thickness gauge is easy to use and takes highly accurate measurements
of the thickness of walls and different materials.
Each material requires a different velocity of sound. The
device comes preset from the factory with 5 different sound
velocities for different materials. This device can measure
thickness of metals, glass, plastics as wel as other
homogeneous materials. The
sound velocity can be adjusted by the user allowing for the device to
be set for use with a more diverse range of materials. The
ultrasound sensor has a measurement head that can be located
inside a elastic black ring. This ring has sectioned
circular cuts allowing for measurement of straight, flat or
circular surfaces. If measurements need to be taken in tight
places, the screw for the sensor head adaptor can easily be
removed so that the sensor can be used directly on the
surface (diameter of 11mm).
The device comes calibrated. An optional laboratory ISO
calibration with certificate can be ordered.

Optional accessories
- ISO laboratory calibration
certificate
For companies that wish to include the thickness
gauge as one of their internal tools or for annual recalibrations.
The ISO certification includes a laboratory calibration
and a document with all the measurement values.
|
 |
|
- Coupling gel
The standard kit includes a tube
of coupling gel. If you are aware that you have to
performs a large number of measurements you can order more
gel from us.
We recommend that you use the coupling
gel to improve the contact between the sensor head and the
object being measured to protect the surface of the object
from the sensor. |
 |
|
- Special
probe
Different test sensors can be
adapted for use with the thickness meter according to your
needs. The micro probe allows for the measurement of
materials with reduced thicknesses (diameter of 6mm).
Sensors for high temperatures (up to 400°C) can also
be used.
