Why are the balances for carat necessary? How is the gold in teeth calculated? The amount of gold determines the percentage of gold and other materials in a metal. It is calculated by dividing in 24. So, one carat of gold has 1/24 parts of gold (= 4.166 %).Balances for Carat: Verification certificate. Gold with 24 carats is considered to be the pure gold, however it is very difficult to eliminate all the impurities for getting 100% gold.  So 24 carats are equal to 99,9% gold. In order to meet DIN ISO standard, all balances for carat can be DKD certified (this certification must be carried out in situ, i.e. on the site where blances for carat are placed). Besides, some of our balances for carat can also be verified (for extra price) and delivered in your company. Balances for carat can also be verified by your local authorised verification centre.
Verification
: According to the WWG standard all balances for carat must be varified if they are used for one of the following purposes (as we have previously mentioned, verification can be carried out by PCE Instruments company or by your local authorised verification centre): for trading relations when the price of the goods is determined by their weight; for determining taxes, sanctions, or official fines; for the production of packages. If you want to get additional information about verification of balances for carat or if you are not sure whether you need a scale to be verified, you can contact your Local authorised Verification Centre. Verification of balances for carat (only for those that can be verified) can be done when scales are ordered or they can be sent for a periodical verification. Once an official verification has been done, balances for carat cannot be recalibrated using an external calibration weight. The first verification is valid for two years, but every other verification is valid only for one year and must be done annually.
