The PCE-DX-AS hardness tester is used for measuring surface hardness (shore A) of hard rubbers and soft plastics. The shore hardness tester consists of a single component with a measuring head and 360º dial. The device can be calibrated with the calibration standard when required and can be ISO calibrated and certified as an optional accessory for an extra price. To improve the readability of peak value, the device comes with a drag needle, that ensures that the maximum reading can be captured. Once it has been measured, it can be reset to zero. With the PCE-DX-AS (A) model of hardness tester, you will always obtain the most accurate value of maximum pressure and you will also be able to accurately reproduce this value. The following link gives an explanation of the process for measuring hardness. You can also see a classification of the different grades of hardness here. This link shows an overview of all the availbale hardness testers.
