pH Electrodes
In many applications in industry and research it is necessary to monitor continuously the pH value using pH electrodes. The pH pH electrodoes for professionalselectrodes convert the current pH value of a proportional voltage. The pH electrode models for fixed installations in industrial processes continuously measure pH and therefore they are used to regulate processes. Because the pH electrodes can be used in various applications,  pH electrodes with different characteristics are required. The most important criteria of pH electrodes are the solids content of the medium pressure system and the degree of contamination of the environment. The pH electrodes type  HI 1001 are wired permanently and are available in two lengths. The pH electrodes are suitable for standard applications in processes with a very low level of solids. As they can be introduced into body fluids or protein fluids, as well as heavy metals, these pH electrodes are suitable for use in the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater. If the soil content is very high you can use for example the electrodes HI 1192T. These pH electrodes can enter in a support for electrodes, like the HI model 1110T. The installation of the HI 1001 is performed by a thread. If you have technical questions about these pH electrodes, please contact us on: UK customers +44(0) 23 809 870 30 / US customers (561) 320-9162. Our technicians will  advise you on this subject as well as in other instruments in the field of meters and scales.

The pH electrodes allow measurement of pH with electric meters. Certainly there are indicators or test strips to easily determine the pH, but these are very vague and pH-electrodes: In aquatics a pH control is also necessary.not at all comfortable in practice. To determine the pH value of pH electrodes, they should be in direct contact with the medium being measured. In the glass membrane pH electrodes generate a voltage that indicates the current pH value. This measurement is much more accurate and quick. However, it is necessary to take several things into consideration when measuring pH electrodes. The pH meters need to be recalibrated periodically by buffers and a defined pH value. This is because pH electrodes deteriorate and therefore the voltage curve is subject to change. The deterioration of pH electrodes also means that at some point they stop working. The life of pH electrodes depends on several factors. Very dirty solutions and high temperatures require a shorter calibration interval and shorten the life of pH electrodes. To extend the duration is often advisable to clean the pH electrodes. If the pH electrodes are not used,  there is a danger that they become unusable. The pH electrodes must be stored in a completely dry atmosphere or have them placed in the preservation solution. Never leave the pH electrode in distilled water.
