The most usual additional function of person scale is the designation of the body fat. In this measurement the body fat is measured by a person scale, named body-fat scale. A weak alternating current (AC) is induced threw the body. Then the resistor of the body is measured, but the results are inaccurate. Lots of factors must consider. A full urinary bladder or dehydration after sport chances the results of the measurement. You just can have fairly results if you weigh yourself every day at the same time and under the same terms. So if you want to weigh your body fat exactly you have to weigh yourself after toilet in the morning or after shower, because of the dry skin. The same holds true for person scales which measure the amount of muscles and water with the electric resistor of the body. They are also inaccurate. Then there are person scales they work together with the BMI (body mass index). The scale has to know the weight and the height of the person. We can do a calibration for your person scale (of course just for scales which can be calibrated) or from a gauging office in your proximity. After a calibration of a commission it isn’t allowed to calibrate them with a calibration weight. The first calibration is valid for two years and then you have to calibrate them every year. It’s a recommendation for a firm which want to take the person scales to the internal “inspection device pool” or to the annual recalibration to do an ISO-calibration. The certification (from ISO 9000) contains a labor calibration inclusive a test certificate with test results. The name of your firm or the complete contact details of your principal will be listed on the report of der person scale.
