Professional formaldehyde measuring device to measure air after the evaporation of wooden material, flooring, furniture, textiles… / alarm signal exceeding of limit / USB-interface

This measuring device is designed to detect formaldehyde in air. The measuring device shows the formaldehyde-concentration on site and thereby avoids time-consuming and expensive analysis in laboratories. The formaldehyde-measuring device runs with help of an electromechanical sensor and is designed to determine the current permitted limit. A measurement can be accomplished in less than 30 seconds. The concentration is measured in ppm units. Some substances such as ethanol, propanol or methanol can interfere with the measuring data. An optionally purchasable hygrometer-sensor allows for a correction of the measured data in order to achieve accurate measurements. The device can be connected to a computer or laptop by means of the USB-Interface, thereby allowing an automatic and continuous measuring over a long period of time. Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde is a colourless, pungent-smelling substance, which is gaseous at room temperature.An improper use can result in allergies, skin and respiratory diseases or eye irritation. It is classified as carcinogenic. In areas of textiles, the voluntary measurement of limits for harmful substances is awarded a seal of approval (e.g. Toxproof or Öko-Tex 100) is by 20 mg/kg (20ppm). In addition, formaldehyde can especially be found in the following materials: wooden materials, furniture, chip boards and groundings.
