Surface balances are able to determine the weight of diverse materials such as fabric, gum, leather, felt, tiles, etc ... Both PCE-DMS 200 and PCE-LSZ 200C series surface balances show the weight in grams in relation to a square meter of material. In order to place the exact amount of 100 cm² on our paper balances we recommend the use of sample cutters to get reproducible results. Sample cutters help you to save time as well as they guarantee the homogeneous size of samples (100 cm²). |

Surface
balances are commonly used in the production for the quick
control of grammage of both paper and fabric machines.
They are also used for further accurate tests as well as
to be used as reference meters for online systems.
Printers and manufacturers use surface balances to check
the export of goods. If you wish to obtain accurate
results we recommend you to use the cutter for
round samples with our surface balances. Sample cutters
help you to save time as well as they guarantee the
homogeneous size of samples (100 cm²)
when placed on the surface balances.
