There are also available additional devices for humidity scales: software kit (software and data cable) for data to be directly transferred to a computer; printer; fiberglass round filters; test weights for calibration in the site. To meet the ISO 9000 standard, humidity scales can be ordered with an official calibration certificate (optional: when the scale is ordered or as an annual recalibration).

Measuring principle for the Humidity scales: The thermogravimetric method is based in the weight loss determination after drying process. The sample must be weighed before and after the drying process finishes. The difference is established between the initial weight of the material and its weight after it has been dried.

Moisture content in materials: Humidity Scales: Drying element With the thermogravimetric method all the components which can be modified or are related to weight loss of a sample are included. Moisture content in materials is not always based on the measurement of water in the material. Some substances have to be taken into account when humidity is measured, such as: all kind of volatile substances like alcohols, aromatic substances, organic diluents and other ones which are generated when a thermal decomposition occurs. According to the thermogravimetric theory, there is no difference between water and other volatile substances.
