PCE humidity scales have been designed to be used both in the industrial and in the professional sector. Humidity scales can determine the remaining dry matter after a drying process with infrared energy of the original matter previously weighed, so humidity is calculated in relation to the weight of the wet matter. During the drying process the decreasing of moisture in the material is shown on the display. Humidity scales are the ideal tools to determine humidity, the amount of dry matter as well as the consistence of volatile and fixed substances with high accuracy. These humidity scales are mainly used in the industrial sector to analyze pastes, mass, woods, adhesive materials, dusts,... for the production and control of materials. The weighing system of humidity scales shares all the properties with modern scales. Our humidity scales come with two years guarantee. You can use humidity scales for diverse functions. Humidity can be quickly and accurately detected in many different materials such as: powder materials, food, pallets (wooden pallets, etc...). Below, you will find some images of the humidity scales with different materials.

There are also available additional devices for humidity scales: software kit (software and data cable) for data to be directly transferred to a computer; printer; fiberglass round filters; test weights for calibration in the site. To meet the ISO 9000 standard, humidity scales can be ordered with an official calibration certificate (optional: when the scale is ordered or as an annual recalibration)

An official ISO calibration can be performed by an authorized laboratory.

Measuring principle for the Humidity scales: The thermogravimetric method is based in the weight loss determination after a drying process. The sample must be weighed before and after the drying process finishes. A difference is established between the material initial weight and the weight of such material after it has been dried.

Moisture content in materials: With the thermogravimetric method all the components which can be modified or are related to weight loss of a sample are included. Moisture content in materials does not only consist on the measurement of water in the material. Some substances have to be taken into account when humidity is measured, such as: all kind of volatile substances like alcohols, aromatic substances, organic diluents and other ones which are generated when a thermal decomposition occurs. Humidity scales: Drying element. Regarding to thermogravimetric theory, there is not any difference between water and other volatile substances.
The use of halogen radiation in the humidity scale, allows the customer to save time in relation to the traditional method..
