Why are
scales for carat necessary? How is the
gold in teeth calculated?
The ammount of gold establishes the
relation between gold and other materials in a metal. It
is calculated by means of a division in 24 parts. So, one carat
of gold has 1/24 parts of gold (= 4,166 %).
Gold with 24
carats is considered to be the pure gold however it is
very difficult to eliminate all the impurities to get
100% gold so 24 carats are equal to 99,9% gold. To
meet with
DIN ISO
standard, all scales for carat can be
DKD
certified (this certification must be carried out in
situ, that is in the site where blances for carat
are placed). Besides, some of our scales for carat
can also be verified (with an increase of the price)
to be delivered in your company. scales for carat
can also be verified in your local authorised
verification centre.
Verificaction:
According to the WWG standard all Scales for carat
must be varied if they are used for one of the
following functions (as we have previously mentioned,
verification can be carried out by PCE-GROUP company
or by your local authorised verification centre):
For trading relations when the price of the goods is
determined according to their weight. To determine
taxes, sanctions, or official fines. For the
production of packages. If you require additional
information about verification of scales for carat
or you are not sure if you need a verified scale,
you can contact your
Local
authorised Verification Centre. Verification of
scales for carat, only for those
that can be verified, can be done when scales are
ordered or they can be sent for a periodical
verification. Once an official verification has been
done scales for carat cannot be recalibrated using an
external calibration weight. The first verification
is valid for two years, but each following
validation is good for one year and must be done
annually.
