This
steel installation scale can be mounted into the ground resulting in a plain
weighing platform with platform level being same as level of the ground. This
facilitates the weighing of larger objects as they can be easier placed onto the
scale. The installation frame to secure the scale platform can be removed if
necessary, e.g. for cleaning or installation purposes. Optionally the steel
installation scale can be equipped with a damper to also elevate the platform if
necessary. The weighing cells of the steel installation scale feature an IP68
protection while the display is IP65 protected. To reach such a high protection
class the steel installation scale cannot feature any interfaces. Nevertheless
those interfaces e.g. RS232, RS485, USB, LAN, 4-20 mA, 0-10 V or potential-free
contacts can be implemented during production if required. A subsequent
installation is not possible. Those interfaces can be used to integrate the
steel installation scale as a monitoring and control system into production

The IP 65 display of the steel installation
scale features
an universal attachment offering the option to mount the display on a wall, a
table or on the optionally purchasable approx. 80 cm steel stands.

In order to mount the steel installation scale into the ground, the edges need to
be secured. This frame can be purchased to fit safety precautions.

Due to its high protection category the steel installation scale does not
feature any interface. Although there is the option to integrate these interfaces by
order. They cannot be mounted subsequently.

Software
Procell
The software is able to simulate a manual data feed-in and can transfer the data
e.g. straight to Excel with time and date. There is also the option of saving a
TXT file in the background. (data cable not included in delivery)

If there is no computer or printer to be connected to the steel installation scale, the weighing data can be saved with time and date stamp as a txt.-file
on a USB stick. The USB stick is to connect to the steel scale via
the RS-232 interface. The adapter requires a separate external power source
(adapter incl.).

Analogue
output 4-20 mA / 0 ... 10 V
The 16 bit analogue output converts the weight value into a mA or V signal, so
that e.g. a SPS control system can response to that. Example with 4 ... 20 mA:
At 0 kg a signal of 4 mA is sent, while at maximum load a 20 mA signal is
released. The 20 mA / 10 V limit can be also customized individually.

Potential-free
contacts
This contactor is called in short-terms an OC-contactor. It means that by
reaching preset weight limits e.g. MIN / OK / MAX, the scale is able to switch a
maximum of three contacts. The switch can be either set as an impulse or a
continuous signal.

Signal
lights
This signal lamp helps assuring a visible signal system for the whole personnel.
If the weight is below the minimal limit, the yellow lamp brightens up, if the
values are within the preset thresholds, the green lamp brightens, if the weight
trespasses the upper limit, the red light starts brighten.

This serial cable has a total length of 1 m, and features the accordant pins
2-3/ 3-2 / 5-5 for a bi-directional communication path of the steel installation
scale with a computer.
