Analytical balances
We have
analytical balances which come
with software and a
the possibility to
read to an accuracy
of 0.01mg
(more
accurate devices are
available upon
request). Some
analytical
balances
can be verified and
have a plastic
windscreen and an
optional test weight.
The interface allows
for data to be
transferred from the
analytical balances to a computer.
Further analysis can
be done using the
optional software
kit. Analytical
balances come with
multiple functions:
- Automatic
internal adjustment
of weight, piece
count, ISO GLP
protocol,
determination of
percentage, RS-232
interface.
- Powered by
mains adaptor,
software kit is
optional.
Analytical balances
come with various
additional
components and ISO
calibration
certificates. Our engineers are
available to help you and assess the
balances you might need.

Not all
the balances previously mentioned can be used as
classic analytical balances. We made such a
selection of balances because they fit within the
scope of analysis. Normally all analytical balances
have a sensitivity of less than 0.1mg. The result
indicated in the document of analysis is the value
between at least two results with a sufficient
repeatability (factor r). Electronic analytical
balances frequently have an enclosure which can
protect from oscillations due to air flow,
calibration programmes and shock absorbers that can
eliminate sudden movements. Our balances have all the
fundamental prerequisites, depending on the model,
and multiple components:

Analytical balances are frequently used in the
industrial sector as well as in quality control or
product development. These balances are also used in
research and development, in clinics, technical colleges
and universities, typically in their laboratories.
Analytical balances are high quality devices and are
precise, with resolutions of 0.1mg, and example is the
PCE-AB
series. The PCE-VXI
60/220
is a scale with a reading capacity of only 0.01mg. If you
need balances with a resolution of 0.001mg, you should
consider analytical balances which can evaporate liquids.
Furthermore, they have protection against air flow and
have a level to ensure they are portioned correctly.
 In the following image you
can see balances with an internal adjustment weight. This
weight is used for making automatic adjustments to
analytical balances. The adjustment is done automatically,
such as every two hours or if a temperature change of
ą1°C occurs. This ensures a consistent high level of
accuracy. Once the balances are turned on, it performs an
internal check of all its functions which is initiated
by an electronic component in the device and an
adjustment is made by the internal adjustment weight. An
ISO certificate with calibration document or a
verification which meets with DIN ISO 9000 can be
ordered.
Verification: According to CE certifications, analytical
balances should be verified when one of the following
occurs (as we have just stated, a verification can be
done by an authorized verification office or by PCE
Group):
a) In commercial dealings when the price of the
product is determined by weight.
b) In the production of medicines in
pharmacies, as well
in the detailed analysis in medical
laboratories and
pharmaceuticals.

c) For concrete fees, tariffs or official fines.
Also for technical expertise in court cases.
d) The manufacture of packaging.
If you would like
additional information about verifying analytical
balances,
or you are not sure if you require a verification,
contact the
Verifications office for your country.
Verification of analytical balances can be done when the
device is ordered or it can be sent for periodic
verifications. Once verified, the balances should not be
recalibrated with a calibration weight. The first
verification is good for two years at which point
further verifications should be done annually.
