Crane Scales
You can find a range of crane scales for industry on our webiste. Industrial crane scales have a big display to read the weight  properly. The smallest of our crane scales have a weight range up to 20 kg and a bright display which can be clearly read from a relatively far distance. TZ-x series crane scales have a weighing range up to 20 t. Thanks to their infrared remote control, crane scales can be used under harsh conditions (only selected models). Crane scales have a safety factor of 4. Maximum safety overload protection: 400% in all the weighing ranges (some models have an overload safety factor of 5/500%). Spare units like line charger and accumulators are available in all our crane scales. Crane scales can include ISO calibration certificates. Calibration has a laboratory calibration certificate (with the customer details). Here are some further details of our crane scales with a weight range from 100 kg to 20.000 kg. Crane scales are often recommended in the loading ramp due to the weight of the load it can be read directly. However, they are also commonly used in the production field, for instance to elevate a drum to read the weight and to see conclusions directly in the production site. Verification of crane scales (only for the selected models) can be performed by the local authorized verification centre or by the PCE Instruments company. Once an official verification has been done the crane scales cannot be recalibrated using an external calibration weight. The first verification is valid for two years, but each following validation is good for one year and must be done annually. We recommend to those companies that wish to make an internal quality control to their crane scales to recalibrate them annually or to require an ISO calibration certificate. If you wish to obtain more information regarding the verification of crane scales or if you need scales verified, contact your local authorized verification centre. You could also consult one of our engineers or technicians if you have any questions. To meet the ISO 9000 standard, certificates consists of a laboratory calibration and a certificate with the results of the testing. In the certificate the name of the company or the details of the person who order the scale will appear, except for series II scales which have to be verified in situ.
