Hook Scales
On our website you will find hook scales for the industry. Industrial hook scales have a big display  to read the weight properly. The smallest of our hook scales have a weight range up to 20 kg and a bright display which can be clearly read from a relatively far distance. TZ-x series hook scales have a weighing range up to 20 t. Thanks to their infrared remote control, hook scales can be used under harsh conditions (only in selected models). Hook scales have a safety factor of 4. Maximum safety overload protection: 400% in all the weighing ranges (some models have an overload safety factor of 5/500%). Spare units like line charger and accumulators are available in all our hook scales. Hook scales can include ISO calibration certificates. Calibration consists with a laboratory calibration certificate (with the customer details). Here, you can see other details of our hook scales with a weight range from 100 kg to 20.000 kg. Hook scales are often recommended to be used in the loading ramp because the weight of the load can be read directly. However, they are also commonly used in the production field, for instance, to elevate a drum to read the weight and to see the results directly in the production site. In the above images you can see hook scales in a galvanized installation. Hook scales must be verified when determining the price of a product according to its weight. Verification of hook scales  (only for selected models) can be performed by the local authorized verification or by the PCE Instruments company. Once an official verification has been done the hook scales cannot be recalibrated using an external calibration weight. The first verification is valid for two years, but each following validation is good for one year and must be done annually. We recommend to those companies that wish to make an internal quality control to their hook scales, to recalibrate them annually or to aquire an ISO calibration certificate. If you wish to obtain more information regarding the verification of hook scales or if you need scales verified, contact your local authorized verification centre. You could also consult one of our engineers or technicians if you have any questions. To meet the ISO 9000 standard, certificates consists with a laboratory calibration and a certificate with the results of the testing. The certificate requires the name of the company or the details of the person who orders the scale except for series II scales which have to be verified in situ).
