Hopper balances
|
|
Many of our balances are used as
hopper balances. The economic platform balances are
gaining ground
to special hopper balances which are
more expensive.
Solidity, wide weighing ranges and high accuracy are
factors in favor of hopper balances.
Both hopper and weight functions help to improve
their use in industrial processes. Some models
of laboratory balances, accurate balances and tabletop
balances have also this hopper function. You will find
the balances best suit you depending on the accuracy,
weighing range and verification.
Other series of balances are
TS series package balances. These
balances offer a lot of additional specifications and
many of them are perfect for weighing mixtures
(recipes). If you don't find the hopper
scale you are looking for, please contact us and we
will help you find the best solution to suit your

The symbol for mixing (recipes)
in the technical sheets of hopper balances means that
these balances can be used to mix and make recipes. Verification:
To meet with the CE 90/384 CEE standard, all hopper
balances must be verified when they are used for one
of the following functions (as we have just pointed out,
verification can be carried out by the local
authorized verification centre or by the PCE Group company
except for series II hopper balances which have to be
verified in
situ)
a) In trade relationships, when the price of the product
is determined by its weight.
b) To make medicines in pharmacy as well as detailed
analysis in medical or pharmaceutical
laboratories.
c) Official activities such as determining rates or
sanctions.
d) For packaging production.
If
you require additional information about
verification of platform balances, or you are not sure
if you need a verified scale, you can contact your
local authorized verification centre. Verification of hopper
balances , only for those
that can be verified, can be done when balances are
ordered or they can be sent for a periodical
verification. Once an official verification has been
done hopper balances cannot be recalibrated using an
external calibration weight. The first verification
is valid for two years, but each following
validation is good for one year and must be done
annually by the authorized verification centre.
If you have not found any hopper scale yet, please
contact us and our engineers will be very pleased to
help you assess our
balances that best suit your needs. |
