Industrial balances
We can offer you a wide range of industrial balances such as laboratory balances as well as package balances.

Industrial balances can be used in different professional sectors. They are powered by rechargeable accumulators or via the mains 241 V (with an adapter of 12 V) to be used with total flexibility. Industrial balances have all the essential functions: zero reset function, tare function and piece count function. With the piece count function, available in many balances, you will be able to sum up insulated weights (very useful for the annual inventory). All industrial balances can have ISO certification with their components and weights. Many models have a RS-232 interface for data to be transferred to a computer (optional data cable and software) to be evaluated. Many of industrial balances are not exclusive for packaging but they can be universally used in the professional sector. So, almost all package balances have a piece count function or percentage function (percentage function shows the variation in relation to the weight of the corresponding reference) In the web, you will be able to get official control certificates as well as calibration certificates (for calibrated package balances) Bellow, you can see some examples of the professional use of these balances.

Inventory balances are very useful for the annual inventory and are quickly adapted to the professional use. You will not waste your time any more at counting small pieces such as screws, nuts or washers by hand. If you use our inventory balances, you will need only a little amount of pieces (normally 10 or 20 pieces), put them on the scale and introduce the number of pieces. Then, the scale will calculate the real weight of each piece. Now, you can introduce the initial number of pieces on the scale and it will show you the real number of them. PCE-CBS counting balances have other additional functions which can make your work easier. So, if you know the weight of the piece, you can introduce it in the scale. Also, you can introduce the tarring weight and choose the reference number of pieces. Inventory balances should be chosen according to the minimum weight of the piece for the piece counting function. In order to choose the counting scale that best suits you it is important to bear in mind that counting balances with an internal resolution of only 10 grams cannot weigh pieces of 0,1 grams.

Inventory balances must be verified when they are used for packaging. To meet with the law verification is compulsory, so our inventory balances are already verified. Special technical specifications can be found in technical sheets of all the different models of our inventory balances.

The symbol for mixing (recipes) in the technical sheets of Industrial balances means that these balances can be used to mix and make recipes. Verification: According to the CE 90/384 CEE standard, all industrial balances must be verified when they were used for one of the following functions (as we have just pointed out, verification can be carried out by the local authorized verification centre or by the PCE Group company except for series II balances which have to be verified in situ):

 
  a) In trade relationships, when the price of the product is determined by its weight.
  b) To make medicines in pharmacy as well as detailed analysis in medical or pharmaceutical laboratories.  
  c) Official activities such as determining rates or sanctions.
  d) For the production of packages.
If you require additional information about verification of platform balances, or you are not sure if you need a verified scale, you can contact your local authorized verification centre. Verification of industrial balances , only for those that can be verified, can be done when balances are ordered or they can be sent for a periodical verification. Once an official verification has been done industrial balances cannot be recalibrated using an external calibration weight. The first verification is valid for two years, but each following validation is good for one year and must be done annually by the authorized verification centre.
