Many scales are not used only for packaging but they can be universally used in the industrial sector. So, almost all package scales have piece count or percent calculation functions (scales with percent function determine the variation in relation to the weight of the corresponding reference). Package scales are traditionally used in the industrial field. These digital scales work under the harshest environmental conditions without problems. It is usually said that mechanical package scales are better for this field. Technical / electrical components of digital package scales have been improved to cover sudden movements so some of our package scales come with a damping device. Most of package scales have an interface available to be connected to a computer or to a printer to make data protocols with the weights obtained. PCE-PM series package scales have an internal software to be connected to DHL, GLS and UPS software.

For judicial expertise. For the production of packages.
If you require additional information about verification of package scales, or you are not sure if you need a verified scale, you can contact your local authorized Verification Centre. Verification of package scales , only for those that can be verified, can be done when scales are ordered or they can be sent for a periodical verification. Once an official verification has been done package scales cannot be recalibrated using an external calibration weight. The first verification is valid for two years, but each following validation is good for one year and must be done annually by the authorized verification centre
