The PCE-WP moisture meter for wood is a measuring instrument to quickly detect moisture in diverse wood types without damaging the material. Furthermore, the PCE-WP 24 moisture meter can be used to measure moisture in building materials. The PCE-WP 24 moisture meter uses a measuring method consisting on both a dielectric constant and high frequency. Electromagnetic waves penetrate up to approx. 50 mm from the surface. The result is the mean value calculated within the depth of 50mm. To get a result with the PCE-WP 24 moisture meter the customer has to choose a wood type or a building material (you will find a list on the back of the meter) and put the external electrodes on the surface. The PCE-WP 24 moisture meter is delivered with a calibration designed for a long period of time, so it will not need any annual recalibration.
