Rotation meters
Here you will find a
selection of distinct
rotation meters.
There are different ways
of measuring revolutions
within the industrial
sector, either optically
or mechanically. The PCE-151
handheld rotation meter with
RS-232
interface can measure
revolutions and velocity
and store the readings
onto a computer using
software which comes
with the device. Handheld
digital rotation meters are
ideal for measuring
velocity and revolutions
in research and
maintenance. The PCE-T236
measures velocity both
by contact and
non-contact and has a
good relation between
price and quality. Non-contact
measurement of velocity
is done with the help of
reflective tape.
For a device that can be
installed for
measurements over a
period of time, we
recommend the PAX I.
These devices have a
digital display with
digital and analogue
outputs, different
memory cards which are
optional, and a
combination of an
optical sensor, a laser
sensor or a mechanical
measuring wheel. There
is another variation for
measuring revolutions and
they are stroboscopes.
Here
you will find a
description of these
handheld rotation
meters. If you don't

Here you will find various
images of rotation meters in use
and all non-contact devices. We
also offer a wide range of
digital
stroboscopes that can be
used as optical rotation meters.
Inside the devices there is a
xenon bulb, similar to what is
used in flash photography, with
the difference that it emits a
continuous series of flashes
that can be adjusted by the user.
If we have an object that is
rotating at a particular rate of
rpms, and we adjust the flash
frequency, if the object then
appears not to be turning, then
the device can determine the
velocity at which the object is
rotating by the flash rate of
the strobe. To guarantee
accurate readings the device can
be calibrated and an optional
ISO calibration can be done in
our laboratories. This
calibration can be ordered with
the unit or as an annual
recalibration at a later date.
Normally, these stroboscopes
don't require recalibration
annually as the bulb has a
constant brightness and a long
lifespan. Rotation meters are
used for determining the
velocity of turning parts in
machines and motors without the
need to make an electrical or
mechanical connection. |
