Lux meters Lux meters for measuring brightness in lux, fc or cd/m². Some lux meters are equiped with internal memory or a data logger to record the measurments. The measurment of light intensity with these lux meters is becoming increasingly important in th e workplace where protective screens are needed to avoid risk. Lux meters with data loggers as shown in our on-line store, are highly regarded especially due to their cosine correction of the angle of incident light. These lux meters have memory to store measured values, and software to analyse readings after they are taken. We also offer a meter for measuring UVA radiation. Frequently we are asked about conversion between different measurement units. The following link contains information for: conversion of different measurement units for lux meters. If you require more information, you can view our page outlining typical illumination standards or if you can't find the lux meters you are looking for, please contact us and we will help you find the best solution to suit your needs by calling our offices on: +44 (0)2380 987030 and our technical staff will advise you regarding our products. Our engineers and technicians will be happy to help you with the lux meters, and of course, with the other products in the field of regulation and control, and scales and balances. The FNL (German institute of Standards) has extensive information about measuring light in the workplace. The commission for the standardisation of technical lighting in DIN is concerned with the DIN standard in respect to natural and artificial ultraviolet light, visible light and infrared. The FNL makes determination about the following areas: terminology, basic visual requirements, photometry, all applications of interior and exterior illumination and the photo biological effects of light and radiation.
