PCE-IT181 Insulation Meter

The PCE-IT181 insulation meter has been designed specifically for use in telecommunications. The insulation meter with combined insulation meter has a linear coloured scale up to 600V AC. Measurements of insulation can be done for whichever new, repaired or replaced installation. Furthermore, it is a requirement that measurments are repeated in spaces where industrial installations are kept for a prolonged period of time. Due to deterioration as a result of aging, damage and the influence of climatic factors.

  (for example at 230V > 230 kΩ)
• in new instalations (humid spaces, open air): 500 Ω x V of operating voltage
• grounded devices: 1000 Ω x V of operating voltage
• device with insulation protector: 2 MΩ
• electrical tools: 2 MΩ
• low voltage: 250 kΩ
• electrical meters: 5 MΩ

Test voltage values are usually 100V for low voltage installations, 500V for installations in houses or buildings and 1000V for low voltage motors and transformers.
