The PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System is the cheapest solution for monitoring and surveillance as well as for quick, easy and safe domestic automation. The PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System can also be used in the industrial sector. The PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System can detect analogue and digital temperature sensors, humidity, access, vibration, smoke, voltage, leakages, gases, movement, level, pressure and others, as well as it can control up to 240 sensors per module and record corresponding values. The PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System also allows video surveillance through USB or IP camera. All sensors are automatically detected. With the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System it is very easy to perform a logic programming that sends messages or images (from USB cameras), SMS, email or ICQ/AIM if limit values are exceeded. Sensors and relays can be placed at some kilometers from the monitoring system by using an intermediate station. The PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System can also be connected to switches and relays for a domestic automation to check if digital inputs have enough voltage to make the device react. Using the software, which is installed in the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System, you can perform any configuration in your PC through a web browser, such as connect relays or switches both manually or automatically and also monitor with a camera the diverse sensors.

PC software
With the PC software of the automation system it is possible to automatically execute commands on a computer, for instance, to switch off the server when a certain temperature is reached or if there are major power surges. In order to use the software with your computer RS-232 port or USB adpater is required which is available with our PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System.
Expansion modules
All expansion modules of the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System can be placed up to 1 km from the main unit. The connection is carried out by a Cat 6 cable with RS-485. The PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System drives and records expansion modules monitoring per station.

Relays/sensor module

This device is used for the surveillance and automation, for example, in remote rooms from the base station . Input for 8 analogue sensors, 10 digital sensors or a card reader/iButton reading head. Additionally, the module has 4 x 3-point relays with a maximum switching power of 10 A – 250 V AC/30 V DC.

Same design as the foregoing relay/sensor module however this version has sockets for cables at the  rear side instead of relays like in the previous one. By means of these outputs the automation system can react to programmed events.

GSM Module

The GSM module allows the user to send SMS even if the Internet connection fails. It is connected to the base unit of the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System.

Sensors
The wide range of sensors includes, apart from temperature and humidity sensors, voltage, flooding and sensors to measure other parameters. There are different sensor types: digital and analogue sensors. They differ from each other by the type of connection and cable length. For example, in a digital input up to 6 different sensors can be connected. You will find more information regarding sensors at the top of the image in the corresponding sensor category. We are currently developing wireless sensors for the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System which will be available soon.

Sensors, analogue
The maximum distance between analog sensors (except for contact sensors and level alarm systems) and the base station or any expansion module is from 30 to 50 m and will depend on the cable type. To get the maximum extension we recommend to use UTP or STP cables with RJ11 connectors. Both contact sensors and level alarm system operate even a few kilometers away. Using additional expansion modules, it is possible to add more sensors (max. 240).

Vibration sensor

Ventilation sensor

A compact device to check air flow. It measures air flow in 4 points. If the air flow is lower at a measurement point, the sensor will be in "Warning" mode; if two or more points are lower, the sensor will be in "Alarm" mode. This sensor allows to check and test ventilation systems. Response time: 1 second. Warm-up time: 4 seconds. Fixing material is included. Dimensions: 40 x 40x 20 mm, Weight: 20 g

Smoke detector

The smoke detector reacts when smoke is formed. Smoke detectors can be connected in series to use only a port of the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System.

Movement warning

The movement warning reacts to movements by means of the infrared measurement. As well as with the other sensors, this allows the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System to react. Dimensions: 105 x 57 x 40 mm, Weight: 120 g. Fixing material is included

Flooding sensor

The metallic bars of this sensor are water detectors, so it will react to the direct contact with water. This allows the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System to create an alarm. Dimensions: 60 x 18 x 18 mm, Weight: 60 g. A connection cable of 2 m and fixing material are included

Water sensor

This sensor has a detection cable which reacts when it is in direct contact with water so the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System can access to difficult access areas. Response time: 7-12 seconds. Cable length: 1-100 m. Dimensions: 60 x 18 x 18 mm, Weight: 20 g. A connection cable of 2 m and fixing material are included

Digital sensors, (combined sensors)
The maximum digital cable length is 300 m and a 2-thread UTP cable is used. Due to the cable resistance and electromagnetic interferences, a cable with a maximum length of 50-100 m is recommended. These sensors have RJ-11 connector which can be plugged into any module digital input of the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System or to any other digital sensor outputs. Sensors are automatically installed and detected. Digital sensors are installed in series. Up to 6 digital sensors can be connected to a digital input of any module of the PCE-IMS 1 Monitoring System in the order you require.

This sensor measures indoor temperature as well as air humidity, Temperature range: 20ºC to +60ºC Relative humidity: 20 - 95%, Accuracy: 5 %. Dimensions: 60 x 18 x 18 mm, Weight: 50 g. A connection cable of 2 m and fixing material included
