Voltmeter
CM-9940
voltmeter to measure up to 600 A AC / DC
|
|
This voltmeter can measure
both direct and alternating
current. The CM-9940 Voltmeter
also has basic functions of
direct and alternating
current, resistance,
frequency, transit and
diodes. The voltmeter
is a very useful
instrument for the technical
service of domestic
appliances due to its small
size (only 30mm). The
CM-9940 voltmeter has
overload protection
for all functions
and ranges. Here
you will find an overview of
all
voltmeters available
from PCE Instruments.

Definition
and information
about Voltmeter:
|
|
The
voltmeter is
a
meter for electrical
quantities that
combines
various
measurement modes
and
ranges in
a single device.
The
standard features
of
a voltmeter allow
for the measurement
of volts and
current at
different ranges.
Usually
the
voltmeter can
switch between
the measurements of
voltage
(DC)
and alternating
current (AC).
The
voltmeter also forms
part
of the basic measurement
ranges of
resistance and it is
usually
also a
measure of continuity
with
a
beeper. The
digital voltmeter
is
more modernly
equipped
and thus allows
for additional
measurements such as
frequency,
capacitance and
temperature
measurements.
The
analog
voltmeter shows
the value
with an
indicator in
different scales
for
different ranges.
The
reading
values are
presented with
discrete
marks.
To
avoid errors in
reading
(parallax
error), the high
quality measuring
instruments have
a
mirror
that contains
a scale
that allows the
measurement value to
be read
properly.
The
accuracy of
the analog
voltmeter can
be up to
1% of
the reading
in high-quality
devices. As
instruments, they
are
often used with
a mobile
coil. Formerly,
they were electromagnetic
devices with
a mobile
palette.
The
ranges of AC
voltage
and current are
usually
not as
accurate
because you
have to pre-connect
a
rectifier
system
in the measuring
system of mobile
coil. |
