The gas transmitter of CO2 MF-420IR-CO2 is compact and solid and does not require habitual maintenance. This gas transmitter determines the carbon dioxide content in the air with the aid of an infrared  sensor with a room temperature between -10 and +50 °C. The housing of the CO2 gas transmitter is made of aluminum and it is suited to be mounted on the wall. Due to the fact that the measurement signals take place according to a new digital algorithm and that the material and the construction of the bucket is new, the CO2 gas transmitter MF420-IR measures the dioxide concentration carbon in a faster, more precise and economic manner than the conventional systems. The system of measurement determines the absolute CO2 content in the air. The gas transmitter is continuously put under automatic control and it detects errors in the hardware and software. The measurement range of the gas transmitter is linear. It is powered by 24 V. The preparation and the emission of the measurement signals (linear power output with a choice between 4-20 mA or 0-10 V) are integrated in the measurement system. The evaluation and the processing of the values take place in a device which is connected by the user according to its specifications (e.g. ventilation system, SPS, limit monitor, indicator). An optional module exists with which the gas transmitter can be connected to Ethernet whereby the analogical data is fed in the network. Typically, it is not necessary to calibrate the transmitter, but in case you have to do it, you should take it to a specialist.
