The PCE-CWC vehicle
scale is compact and fits in most glove boxes.
The vehicle scale is accurate and ideal for cars,
vans, motor homes, caravans and tow trucks. As
it weighs the load of a vehicle, it can help
eliminate an unnecessary load a vehicle might be
under. This makes driving safer and eliminates
having overloaded vehicles.
Surely you are familiar with this situation: Get
your caravan for ready for a long holiday and
begin stowing all the gear you will need. Two
gas canisters, a tank full of fresh water, a
tent, food and clothing for an entire family as
well as other things. It's also possible that
you have equipped your caravan with other
components, such as a 12V battery and charger or
a solar panel. Can you be sure that you haven't
exceeded the vehicles permitted load limit? With
the vehicle scale, you can get an exact answer
to this question.
It is very easy to use. Simply turn on the scale
and select, using the menu key, the correct
programme: motorised vehicles or tow trucks with
one or two axles. The display will present you
with two symbols representing the type of
vehicle. Place the scale in front of or behind
the tyre of the vehicle that corresponds with
the tyre that is flashing on the vehicle symbol
displayed on the scale and slowly move the
vehicle until the tyre is completely on the
scale. The load exerted on the tyre will be
shown on the scale's display. Press the menu key
and the next tyre to be measured will begin to
flash on the display. Repeat this until all the
tyres have been measured by the scale. At the
press of only one key, the "total" load of the
vehicle will be shown on the display. For the
spare tyre, simply support the tyre on the scale
to get a reading. The spare tyre is sufficient
for a period of time, but it should net bear
much more weight than the vehicle itself.
Overloading the spare tyre can cause significant
difficulties when driving. A correct load always
presents the safest situation.
